Daddy has been a bit delinquent updating my journal. He’s busy with me and other things. But the latest:

• I’m 4.25 now.
• Piano coming along. I play in the Suzuki Ribbon Festival next month–I’ll play Lightly Row. I fight daddy a bit on lessons. But my reward is some quarters, plus I get to do a math lesson.
• I am on lesson 100 of the Shiller Math thing daddy is teaching me. Started a couple weeks ago. Zooming along.
• I’m reading fluently now. Daddy says probably 2nd or 3rd grade level. We’re into Encyclopedia Brown mysteries lately.
• I’m also into the real encyclopedia lately–daddy got me an Encyclopedia of History, an illustrated Children’s Encyclopedia, an illustrated Children’s Dictionary, and the Microsoft Encarta Student 2008 encyclopedia. I’m using that one a lot.
• I’m into experiments lately. Daddy got me several books and kits. Buoyance, etc.
• I learned to call people using the call history feature. I’ve been calling Misty, Seth, Me Maw, Felicia, Daddy, Mommy. I left this funny voicemail for Misty and Seth.
• Swimming very well now. I surprised Daddy last night by jumping into the air to do an arcing dive. Learning breast stroke, backstroke, buttefly, etc., — lessons twice a week from Miss Marlena.
• About to be moved up into afternoon class at Post Oak in Mrs. Hacker’s class.
